The food was yum but the place was a bit noisy. So much for a quiet dinner. Better to take it and go.

Improved from the last visit. Food quality much more authentic.

Most of the Mexican food in the area is very casual, so this is a nice option for sit down table service (although in a very casual friendly atmosphere). The food is hot and delicious, you can order spicy or non-spicy options, good chips and salsa, easy parking, great for seniors.

Great food and friendly staff and service. They have a large platter for $40 and it come with all sorts of stuff for small gathering or group meal. I love the nachos and enchiladas. My wife doesnt get anything other than Enchiladas A La Crema. Prices are fair also. One thing is they tend to not remember to fill drinks and you usually have to catch them on the fly if you want refills of your beverages.

Some of the best Mexican food I've had. Had to come to little town of Alturas to find this gem. Friendly staff and unbelievable tacos.

Amazing food. I usually base Mexican food off their salsa, which was also amazing. Our waitress was very friendly, and even watched us eat the extra spicy salsa... Too make sure we survived. Lol!

Exceedingly friendly staff. One of those great family oriented Mexican restaurants where you can sit in a big booth and be served a piping hot plate of enchiladas with beans and rice. My wife thought the food could use more spice.

I always love the food there. Everyone that works there is awesome and will take great care of you! I would for sure encourage you to eat here!!

Expect great Mexican food here.. Some Mexican food joints make me ill and the food goes right thru me😜.. But not here ! The food is Great, super saucy , the plates are very generous in size and the prices are fair! Definitely worth a day trip if you live in the Reno area like I do. If passing thru be sure and stop by El Agave Azul in Alturas California and enjoy an awesome meal with a very super friendly owner! Wish I had took some 📷..

I tried this place already with my friend and I am hooked ever since. I loved the excellent character and flavorful dishes and drinks. Highly recommended.

The food is amazing and the people treat you like family

the customer service is very good, and the restaurant is in good condition, the food does not have flavor and seasoning but if you are hungry you may like it.

There were 3 red flags we neglected to heed.We should've turned & walked out.1. "No real" Mexican tacos2. No alcohol in margaritas3. Customer across from us, couldn't eat her burrito. Didn't like the taste.After we ordered & food arrived, not one of the seven meals were even remotely good.Very disappointed. Oh, & the server was not happy to be there.

I love coming here. The ladies are very personable and attentive. Great food too.

We're from out of town. Arrived at 20:55, they close at 21:00 The three of us were seated and received excellent service, excellent food, generous portions and huge margaritas.

refried beans are consitency of soup. no tequila, store bought taco shells. Yuck. jeez, please at least serve edible refried beans. very disappointing.

Maria, the owner is a real love! She is so personable and she touches every table. She works her butt off and you think she's just one of the waitresses until you find out she owns the place. You gotta go there.

The food is really good here. The staff were attentive. The wall paintings are of the area. The desserts are authentic and look and taste great. The prices are fair and the service was timely. It is easy to park and leave.
